We are not attorneys and this page is general information, not legal advice. We cannot tell you which form or document you need, what to put on it, or what it means legally. For legal help, see a Florida attorney or the court's self-help program.

Frequently asked questions
What do I need for a notarization?
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID for each signer, and the document, left unsigned. Sign in front of the notary.
Can you tell me what the document says?
No. A notary cannot give legal advice or explain a document. Ask the person or office that gave it to you.
Can you notarize a document with blank spaces?
Please ask the person who prepared it. We recommend not signing a document that has blanks that should be filled in.
